Biogeographic Distribution

The species belonging to the class Ascidicea have a wide tolerance range for salinity, temperature and depth and are found worldwide (Table one). Species belonging to the Trididemnum genus are also present throughout the world’s oceans but they are most abundant in the North Atlantic and West-Pacific Oceans (Figure one).
