Highly spiraled shell, with fine teeth and ridges on the lip. Angular nodules present on the spiral ridges as well. Basic colouration ranging from cream to pale, with several patches of dark brown markings in many cases. The interior of the shell is white, and the flesh of the animal itself is red (WoRMS 2010).
