Aims and Hypothesis
P. ocellatus is capable of producing food via photosynthetic means, which require the presence of sunlight. They have also been observed to be slow crawlers and have excellent camouflage.
This study aims to determine and compare their activity rate during the day and night, and if their camouflage plays a role in their rate of activity. It is hypothesized that P. ocellatus will have a greater activity rate in the day as compared to the night due to the need to photosynthesize.
