Distribution

Cryptoplax as a genus is distributed all across the tropical and sub tropical waters of the  indo- pacific (Schwabe 2007).

By use of a literature search Cryptoplax larvaeformis can be regarded as a tropical Cryptoplax species, and is found throughout such places as: Fiji (Schwabe et al 2008), New Caledonia, Indonesia (Schwabe 2007) and The Great Barrier Reef. Australia! (Austin et al 1980).
